Although several treatments are available, such as IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and various sperm retrieval techniques, some men may produce no viable sperm or have a very low sperm count.<\/p>\n<p>Others may have undergone cancer treatment, which can harm their sperm and fertility, or may have been born without male reproductive organs. Additionally, autoimmune conditions can affect the function of the male reproductive system. For such patients, using a sperm donor can often lead to successful results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Genetic diseases and conditions:<\/strong> Couples or men who are carriers of or at risk for serious genetic diseases may choose to use a sperm donor to prevent their offspring from inheriting the condition.
